History of the Cherrier family

Winegrowers in Sancerre since 1848

The domain has been created in 1927 by Maurice Cherrier who, in the sixties let his son Pierre take over the exploitation, extend the vineyard and enlarge the cellars.

At the beginning of 1980, the two sons of Pierre, François and Jean-Marie returned to the estate after their wine studies in Beaune, continuing the effort made for wine of quality.

Their culture policy

Since 2000, François and Jean-Marie have decided to practice viticulture as close as possible to nature, taking care to use as little energy as possible to produce (Control of the carbon footprint): combined work, more fertilizer, elimination of products helping to winemaking, etc.), as well as the selective practice of biodynamics and geobiology ...

The operation is currently undergoing an HVE (High Environmental Value) accreditation project.
